So Wifey and I are planning another road trip this summer. Not some little chincy ass road trip like them HD ridin' yuppies that think 100 miles is a "road trip". Nope. We are looking at another cross country run. It should be a blast. This time Wifey won't be jacked with a stent in her kidney and a bad hip scheduled for a total replacement (read about the last trip on the other trip page). She should be rockin' and ready to roll! This time I don't think we will be under any time constraints. Just us, on the road with only a final destination in mind. Whatever happens....happens. We might get detoured, Wifey might pick up a girl or two, ya just never know. Hey, she doesn't call the bike a "pussy magnet" for nuthin'!
So we will be heading out from Ft. Collins, Colorado to Raton, New Mexico (277 miles), to Amarillo, Texas (215 miles-492 miles total), to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma (260 miles-752 miles total), to Little Rock, Arkansas (330 miles-1082 miles total), to Memphis, Tennesse (122 miles-1204 miles total), to Morganfield, Kentucky (273 miles-1477 miles total), to Nashville, Tennessee (155 miles-1632 miles total) then off thru the Great Smokey Mnts. to Greensboro, North Carolina (462 miles-2094 miles total), then thru South Carolina to Savanah, Georgia (320 miles -2414 miles total), to Jacksonville, Florida (132 miles-2546 miles total) the the home stretch to Boynton Beach, Florida (292 miles-2838 miles total).
No big deal you say? You are right. Last year we did 4600 miles in 6 days on the road (thats over 760 miles a day as an average, try that will a stent shoved in your pee hole and into your kidney and a hip that is almost completely collapsed! Wifey is a total badass!) And a weeks worth of hanging out thrown in just for fun. Heres the big deal. There is NO RETURN TRIP. We are not going back to Colorado. We are staying in Florida. The big deal about that is that we are walking away from everything we know. Wifey has been in Colorado since 1974 and I have been here my whole life, we will just say thats a tad more than 40 years, LMAO! But we are leaving it all behind. We are giving everything to the kids and our friends. If it don't fit on the bike, it ain't going. The TV, the Pioneer sound system, the furniture, our bed, lots of clothes, the car, the house, friends, family, her job (mine is going to transfer me...I think?)....everything...gone. Thats the big fuckin' deal! You think you got the balls to do something like that?......TO BE CONTINUED
OK, LIKE I SAID ON THE FRONT PAGE, THE TRIP IS NOW COMPLETE..UNFORTUNATELY. GLAD TO BE IN FLORIDA BUT I SURE DO LIKE BEING ON THE ROAD WITH WIFEY! I HAVE STARTED WRITING ABOUT THE TRIP AND WILL POST IT AS SOON AS I CAN GET IT DONE. BEING THAT WE ARE STARTING A NEW LIFE IN FLORIDA IT MIGHT BE AWHILE BEFORE I CAN COMPLETE THE STROY SO I JUST MIGHT POST IT LITTLE BY LITTLE AS I GET IT DONE. MAN, I NEED A JOB JUST ROLLING AROUND THE COUNTRY ON A BIKE AND WRITING ABOUT IT! FUCK ME! WHAT AN AWSOME JOB THAT WOULD BE!
